Pavel Koshak, head of Palex Group Inc. and Constantin Kaplinsky, CEO of GlavSoft will give a report about their participation and experience at ISDEF 2013. They will present in early November in Tomsk at the alternative IT cluster, a group generated by the local business community. The goal is to inform Tomsk developers on the activity of ISDEF — A Russian nonprofit partnership established to represent and develop interest in the software industry.
The traditional autumn conference, ISDEF 2013 was held in Moscow in late September. This event was attended by various owners, top managers, attorneys, representatives of Russian and foreign investment funds, and lead experts of IT companies. The conference agenda was divided into several sessions that covered the latest legislation amendments, law, marketing, HR and business development topics. This year for the first time, localization and cloud technology had their own dedicated sessions.
“Restructuring companies that are involved in the IT sector was one of the main issues at this year’s forum,” Pavel Koshak said. “How can you realize in a timely and efficient manner that you are falling behind in progress? What should you prioritize to do first? Representatives from world-known companies, such as Bitrix and Alawar, answered these questions with examples from their own experiences. What is great about ISDEF is that it’s a great platform to share your experiences that can benefit others. Even if when you are checking in you only have an idea, you can leave with the knowledge of how to release a fully functional product — both through formal events and informal networking.”
Pavel Koshak is also positive that the participation in this conference creates a strong informational impact — especially in the area of new Russian legislation trends and law issues they provoke.
“Now our goal is to eliminate the information vacuum that becoming obvious in Tomsk by telling our local business community about the conference. Our city has nearly 140 active IT companies that do not have the ability to quickly receive information about the market changes and timely respond to them.” Pavel Koshak said. “We have already reached an agreement with the forum administration that a number of experts who spoke at the conference will hold sessions in Tomsk at the IT cluster. Before inviting these speakers we must put ISDEF on the map in Tomsk and understand both the need and interest from our business community.”
